This seminar will discuss the goals of the MDS 3.0, and how they relate to provision of nursing home care. The speaker will review the Key improvements in the MDS process, which are planned for the MDS 3.0. The course will outline suggestions for preparing SNF staff for the transition from MDS 2.0 to MDS 3.0. The speaker will compare many MDS items that are updated with the new MDS 3.0 assessment tool. Participants will receive strategies for accuracy in completion and transition to the new assessment. Detailed review of the 66 RUGs including the specific level criteria in relation to the rate of reimbursement. This program will discuss case management strategies, Assessment schedules, MDS 3.0 Sections Coding Guidelines, ADL Scoring, Concurrent and Group Therapy and more.
