Descriptions
Harmony Healthcare
offers the following seminars publicly and privately. Each seminar
is approximately 3 hours in duration and has associated CEU's. CEU's
are awarded for successful course completion. CEU's may vary depending
on course length and content. Please contact Harmony Healthcare for
details on specific courses.
For the customer's
convenience, each seminar can be compressed into shorter versions
in order to better accommodate the facility staff. In addition, customized
seminars are available.

The RUG's refinement
seminar discusses the newly implemented changes to the SNF RUG's reimbursement
system. Speaker will review criteria for nine new RUG's categories,
strategies for rate preservation and optimal reimbursement. In addition,
this forum will provide audience with current regulatory updates.
MMQ,
MDS, AND PPS: A United Front
A comprehensive
review of the Minimum Data Set and Management Minutes Questionnaire
from a regulatory and PPS perspective. Appropriate for administrators
and all nursing staff. Participants will gain strategies for developing
proactive policies and procedures with the intention of integrating
facility systems and team members.
Restorative
Nursing Program Development
This course focuses
on key concepts for development of Restorative Nursing Programs which

101: Introduction to the Minimum Data Set
This program provides
a comprehensive training on the rules and regulations allowing Medicare
Part A coverage during a Skilled Nursing Facility stay.
In the class the
MDS will be reviewed in detail from start to finish. This program
discusses ARD management, ADL coding, diagnosis coding, RUGs III leveling,
in addition to a variety of other topics.
Therapy
Revenue Enhancement Tips and Strategies in a Skilled Nursing Facility
This program will
enable healthcare providers to provide quality healthcare through
an understanding of the Medicare Reimbursement system with regards
to therapy operations in a skilled nursing facility. The speaker will
provide an overview of the areas that significantly impact Medicare
Reimbursement and therapy service delivery as well as discuss case
management and operational strategies.
Administrators
Guide to the MDS
This course will
address the elements and purpose of the RAI. The administrator and
Directors of Nursing need to know how to oversee and manage the MDS
process.
This course will
educate on the ever changing regulations set forth by CMS. You will
gain the knowledge to capture the HIGHEST rate of reimbursement in
your facility. Understanding the MDS, its outcomes and reports it
generates is imperative for accuracy in case management and reimbursement.
The course will teach the key components of the MDS 2.0 and participants
will be able to recognize the medical requirements to qualify a patient
as Medicare eligible. Participants will be walked through the steps
needed to solve the mystery of completing the MDS.
