3-Day Mock Regulatory Survey
Survey preparedness is a challenging endeavor for every healthcare provider.
At a minimum, the provider must familiarize itself with industry standards, examine current systems and prepare to evaluate and improve areas that are not in compliance or trigger concern. Nursing homes are certified to provide services to eligible Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and are expected to meet the standards defined in the ever changing Federal regulations.
How can Harmony Healthcare International, Inc. (HHI) help?
Harmony Healthcare International, Inc. (HHI) Mock Regulatory Survey assists providers with best Mock practices for regulatory survey compliance. Harmony HealthCARE Specialists will include elements from the MDS and Dementia focused survey. This mock survey process includes nursing and environmental rounds, QI/QM review as well as focused clinical reviews.
The goal of the Harmony Healthcare International, Inc. (HHI) Mock Regulatory Survey is to perform an independent review/audit of the facility and determine areas of potential noncompliance with federal and state regulations. As areas of potential noncompliance are identified, the Harmony HealthCARE Specialists will offer recommendations for process enhancement to aid in achieving and maintaining compliance. Recognizing the important role that the facility front-line staff members (including front-line managers and direct care staff) play in achieving positive survey results, the assessment will include interactions with various staff focusing on survey preparation.
It is important to note that whether a facility is subject to a Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) or a Traditional Survey, the Harmony Healthcare International, Inc. (HHI) Mock Regulatory Survey process will assist in preparation for both. Each survey processes focus on ensuring compliance with the same regulations. The Stage One processes in the QIS are extremely labor intensive and, with the QIS, resident selection is completely random. Harmony Healthcare International, Inc. (HHI) believes that the best use of resources is to focus on those areas that are known to be high risk (e.g., accidents, pressure ulcers, abuse, etc.) as well as staff education regarding and preparation for the QIS if the facility is in a QIS state or one in transition from Traditional Survey to QIS rather than attempting to replicate an actual QIS. Harmony HealthCARE Specialists are well-versed in QIS and prepared to provide informal, as well as formal (if requested by the facility) education regarding the QIS process during the Harmony Healthcare International (HH) Mock Survey visit.
It is necessary to provide the 2567(s) from the previous year, including any received in response to the most recent standard survey and abbreviated surveys from the last 12 months (if applicable).
