Facility Assessment
Completion of the Facility Assessment which includes working with the organization leadership team and staff to: Document the resources that are necessary to care for residents competently during day-to-day operations and emergencies; Make decisions about direct care staff needs as well as capabilities to provide services to the residents in the facility; Evaluate their resident population; and Identify resources needed to provide necessary person-centered care and services required by residents.
The four key components of the Facility Assessment will be documented and described including:
- Staffing Requirement
- Staff Competencies
- Services provided and the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement program.
- Additionally, an organization-wide assessment will be completed to determine the resources necessary for competent resident care for day-to-day operations and emergencies.
The product will be a living document that will be ready for modification and updating on at least an annual basis.
